Dans le cadre du prochain festival d’art sonore Hear Here 2025, une installation audiovisuelle créative intitulée Humming the Ubique invite le public à faire l’expérience de l’énergie invisible qui nous entoure. Elle sera exposée dans la ville de Louvain (Belgique) du 24 avril au 9 juin 2025. Cette œuvre innovante est le fruit d’une collaboration entre l’artiste Aernoudt Jacobs et le chercheur FARI Lluc Bono, qui apporte son expertise dans le domaine de la musique et de l’IA.

Projet partenaire de LUMSON, Humming the Ubique réunit plusieurs institutions belges d’art et de recherche – FARI, iMAL, IMO-IMOMEC et De Hoge Rielen – dans une mission commune visant à traduire des ondes électromagnétiques (EM) imperceptibles en son et en lumière. L’installation comprend 64 feuilles sonores luminescentes, animées par des ondes électromagnétiques collectées en temps réel à quatre endroits différents de la ville de Louvain. Ces signaux invisibles animent les feuilles, modifiant subtilement leurs couleurs en fonction des variations de tension et générant du son à l’aide d’une technologie avancée de synthèse du son par l’IA, appelée « RAVE »

Le résultat est une composition riche en sensations où la technologie et la nature convergent, permettant au public d’« entendre » l’énergie qui passe généralement inaperçue.

L’ouverture officielle de Hear Here 2025 aura lieu le jeudi 24 avril, avec une performance en direct de Maria Chávez au STUKcafé.
