About the Training

The Data Stewards Bootcamp is organized by FARI – AI for the Common Good Institute (Université libre de Bruxelles & Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and The Data Tank.

This week-long, hands-on program helps participants understand how to steward data strategically and responsibly to create smarter, fairer cities and regions. Combining expert-led sessions, interactive workshops, and field visits across Brussels, the bootcamp bridges policy, governance, and technology for better public data use.

Participants will learn how to:

– Understand and manage complex data ecosystems
– Apply demand-driven approaches to data reuse
– Design and implement collaborative data governance models
– Translate data into decision intelligence and measurable impact
