FairPlay is a serious game designed to delve into algorithmic fairness, inviting participants to immerse themselves in the complex realm of AI ethics. It provides players an opportunity to experience firsthand the implications of being governed by algorithms and to explore various fairness concepts. Representing students seeking housing, players are subjected to the decisions of an algorithm that determines who’s in and who’s out. The game scrutinizes the fairness of these decisions and examines techniques available to enhance fairness. Scheduled for Wednesday, March 27th at 2 pm, as part of the weKONEKT.week 2024 at Bourse Brussels, registration is mandatory for participation, although the activity itself is free.
