Join us for an evening of networking and discussions explore the evolving role of lawyers in the age of Artificial Intelligence at our AI Happy Hour event! This in-person event will take place on Monday 30 September at 17:30 in the FARI Test and Experience Center (Cantersteen 16, 1000 Brussels).
For this session, Valentina Dalla Giovanna – researcher at the Smart Law Hub of the Université libre de Bruxelles – will explore how lawyers can uphold democratic values and navigate the challenges posed by AI in their practice.

Valentina Dalla Giovanna is a researcher at the Smart Law Hub of the Université libre de Bruxelles, where she focuses on artificial intelligence law and health data. She is actively involved in the LASO project, which assesses risks associated with AI initiatives in the healthcare sector, as well as a project to establish a Brain Data Hub in collaboration with the Belgian Brain Council and several European organizations dedicated to mental health and brain research. In addition to her academic work, she is a practicing attorney at the Brussels Bar with Rawlings Gilles, where she specializes in data law, bringing her extensive legal expertise to bear on the various scientific projects she supports.
The AI Happy Hours are workshop sessions that will be held every last Monday of the month, starting at 17:30 pm and finishing at 19:00 pm. These sessions will provide an appetizer of what Al, data and robotics has to offer, how it can benefit citizens, administrators & companies in day-to-day life and how to safeguard sustainability, compliance and responsible use of these technologies.
This event is organized by FARI – AI for the Common Good Institute, with the support of sustAIn.brussels. The participants list will be shared with sustAIn.brussels.
