The Networked Learning Conference 2026 (NLC2026), the fifteenth international edition of this leading conference in the field, will take place in Brussels, Belgium, from 6 to 8 May 2026 at FARI – AI for the Common Good Institute. Hosted by FARI and d-teach – Online School and Training Centre, the conference will bring together researchers, educators and practitioners to examine current developments in networked learning and to foster dialogue on the future of education in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Over three days, NLC2026 will feature keynote contributions from Professor Rupert Wegerif, Professor Taina Bucher and Prof. Dr. Rob Heyman, alongside paper presentations, workshops, symposia, round tables and networking opportunities. The conference will address key themes including equity and inclusion, policy and AI in education, value-based and human-centred AI, ethical and responsible innovation, new learning spaces and modalities, lifelong learning, and emerging theories and methodologies shaping the future of networked learning. By bringing together an international community in Brussels, NLC2026 aims to encourage meaningful exchange, foster new collaborations and support reflection on more connected, inclusive and responsible approaches to learning.
