Workshop: AI and creativity, from concept to creation

Offline

Welcome to our workshop on using artificial intelligence (AI) for creativity. In this workshop, we will be exploring the various ways in which AI can be used to enhance creative works.

We will begin by providing an overview of the multiple applications of AI in the creative field, including the use of machine learning algorithms for music composition, video, 3D modeling, and visual arts.

Next, we will delve deeper into a specific application of AI for creativity: text-to-image models. These models use machine learning algorithms to translate text descriptions into images, allowing us to use language as a medium for artistic expression. We will walk you through the process of using these models to create your own digital artwork and discuss ways to translate the resulting digital art into physical form.

The final part of the workshop will take place at IMAL’s fablab. We will explore methods for translating digital artworks into physical forms. This includes techniques such as printing, laser cutting, and utilizing 3D printing to create sculptures based on digital designs.

Throughout the workshop, you will have the opportunity to experiment with different AI tools and techniques and to share your creations with the group. Our goal is to help you discover the potential of AI as a creative tool and to inspire you to continue exploring this exciting field.
