MagiX is a 1st Level Specialising Master developed within the AI4Gov-X project.
MagiX Master Program
MagiX is a 1st Level Specialising Master delivered by Politecnico di Milano in partnership with 15 leading European institutions, developed within the AI4Gov-X project, and co-funded by the Digital Europe Programme.
The curriculum is built on a co-created competence framework covering 3 domains, 16 core and 18 vertical competences, aligned with EQF levels.

Digital Governance & Transformation
AI & Data
AI foundations (technical, regulatory, data pillars); AI-enabled public services; socio-technical systems; data governance and data protection frameworks.
Human-Centric Design & Innovation
Credit Structure
1) 30 ECTS CREDITS: 3 core modules mandatory for all participants.
2) 1 spécialisation track
You can choose from 6 thematic areas :

MagiX is designed for professionals across public and private sectors seeking expertise in AI governance
Civil Servants & Public Sector Professionals: for operational staff seeking to manage and procure AI tools within their institution, this programme provides practical frameworks and governance knowledge.
Students & Early-Career Professionals: gain a competitive credential that opens doors to emerging roles in digital government, AI policy, and public sector innovation.
Training & HR Officers in Public Institutions: professionals evaluating and procuring training for their teams will understand how to build organisational AI capabilities systematically.
Private Sector Professionals: consultants, tech companies, and NGOs working with or supplying to the public sector will gain insight into governance requirements and collaboration models.

If you are a MagiX master’s student and you have an internship contract with a public or private host organisation, you can receive an amount equal to your internship stipend/salary, up to € 5 000. You must have been unemployed when you started your internship and your host organisation must be based in an eligible country.
Extracurricular activities
By completing any of these courses and achieving a positive assessment, participants will earn an interoperable AI4Gov‑X Open Badge that formally recognises the skills and competencies acquired. These badges can be shared across professional platforms, supporting learners in showcasing their achievements within the international innovation and public‑sector ecosystems.
If you are enrolled in (or accepted to) an official AI4Gov-X extracurricular activity, you can get reimbursement of up to 50 % of your eligible costs (travel, accommodation, registration fees), with a maximum of € 5 000 per person.
