Steckelmacher is a post-doc at the COMO lab, where he did his PhD. His work concerns the use of Reinforcement Learning in complex and real-world environments. Steckelmacher explores how to increase sample-efficiency (for fast learning when learning costs resources), ensuring safety and trust, and the general deployment of RL in the real word.
