On 18 November 2025, the FARI AI Accelerator (a diverse group of entrepreneurs, researchers and founders with AI-driven projects) celebrated the culmination of its 2025 cohort with the Final Pitch & Graduation – Demo Day, held from 14:00 to 16:30 CET at the Google Atelier in BeCentral, Brussels. Bringing together founders, mentors, a jury of ecosystem experts, and an audience passionate about the future of responsible AI, the event highlighted how young ventures are shaping AI for the common good. The gathering marked the end of a six-month journey in which participants refined their solutions, connected with partners and potential investors, showcased and pitched their progress, and finally celebrated how the Accelerator helps turn responsible AI ideas into real, impactful ventures.

Two standout projects received top recognition this year: an Audience Award and a Jury Award.

The Audience Award went to Mario Major, founder of NUL (Neuro Universal Language), a concept that reimagines communication through AR glasses. By turning smart eyewear into an always-on interface for interpreting the world, NUL aims to enable users to better perceive, understand, and respond to complex social cues.

The Jury Award was presented to Hiva Houshyar, founder of BB-GO, an accessibility-driven navigation platform designed for wheelchair users. With the ambition to create “a world where wheelchair users can explore their city with the same confidence as anyone else,” BB-GO blends accessibility data with user-centric design to empower inclusive urban mobility.

The jury included:

Wim De Waele – https://www.linkedin.com/in/wimdewaele/

The Final Pitch & Graduation took place in the framework of the FARI Brussels Conference 2025 – “AI, Robots & Us: Living with Intelligent Agents?”, which gathered researchers, policymakers, industry leaders and citizens on 17–18 November in Brussels. During the second day of the FARI Conference – Partners Day at BeCentral, the FARI AI Accelerator cohort took the stage to showcase how their AI-driven solutions can serve the common good – from accessibility and mobility to communication and civic engagement. Over two hours, each team pitched their project, answered questions from the jury and the audience, and reflected on what they had learned during the program.

The FARI AI Accelerator program is a free, six-month program for emerging AI entrepreneurs who want to build impactful and responsible ventures. Participants follow twelve structured workshops, receive 1:1 mentoring, and take part in networking activities with public and private partners, culminating in a final pitch in front of potential investors and ecosystem stakeholders. The 2025 cohort is the third edition of the programme and continues FARI’s mission to support AI that is aligned with European values and societal needs.

As audience award winner Mario Major noted: “FARI pushed me from idea to impact. Human-centric AI isn’t theory — it’s a responsibility. Surrounded by teams building for the common good, NUL became more than a concept. It became a mission.” He further describes NUL as “a human-centric AI system designed to decode ambiguity, facial expressions, tone, and social context in real time… reduce cognitive load, increase clarity, and make everyday communication fairer, more inclusive, and more humane.”

Jury winner Hiva Houshyar shared a similar sense of acceleration: “Being selected by the jury at the FARI Final Pitch has already created a lot of traction for BB-GO… and it really boosts my confidence and credibility to grow bigger and faster. The FARI AI Accelerator helped me move from just an idea to a clear product roadmap…”

Finally, program lead Geoffrey highlighted the growing community impact: “What really stood out this year was the number of volunteers who came forward wanting to contribute as aspiring coaches… you can feel the ecosystem maturing around AI for the common good.”

Inspired by these projects? The next edition of the FARI AI Accelerator will begin in 2026. Teams working with AI and data for the common good can already learn more about the program and upcoming application windows on the FARI AI Accelerator page: https://www.fari.brussels/accelerator.

Interested founders are invited to sign up and keep an eye on the website and FARI channels for the next call for applications.
